Lucid Dreams in Lagos City explores the boundaries between human consciousness and environmental presence, situating the imagined within the lived realities of Lagos.
This ongoing, experimental series began as an intimate act of world-building, discovering a dreamlike terrain through which I could highlight identity and expression. Presented are recurring characters developed over time from my childhood up until this very moment. These characters are conceived from within me as extensions of myself, embodying fragments of my memory, desires and persona.

The images are set within remote estates across Lagos. These environment were serene, expansive, and almost suspended in stillness, standing in stark contrast to the chaos of the city. Within this tension, I discovered a sense of alignment, a deeper connection to these landscapes as both refuge and mirror.
Through this interplay of figure and environment, the series considers how we inhabit spaces emotionally and physically and how alternate worlds might be imagined within the structures we already occupy.
